In today’s bustling world, people often struggle to find time to take care of themselves, leading to a reliance on automation to save time. Even in the food industry, convenience has taken precedence, making cooking quick and easy. Surprisingly, well-known restaurant chains depend on instant and frozen food items to satisfy their customers’ hunger.
These modern developments have led us to perceive traditional cooking methods as time-consuming, yet the shortcuts we take only create the illusion of saving time. Similarly, we are accustomed to seeking instant solutions, often expecting God to implement automation in solving the problems they encounter. However, it is important to remember that God has created everything according to His will and has automated the system to run within His predetermined time frame.
The Parable Of The Old And The New
And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’”
Luke 5:37-39 (NIV)
Jesus explains the regulations of His creations and urges strict adherence to these natural demands to avoid harm. The insight of this parable is that every day, God bestows new grace upon us, and we must renew our spirits to receive this fresh grace. Regrettably, people yearn for new graces but are unwilling to renew their spirits on a daily basis. Clinging to old concepts and beliefs, they receive fresh grace, and the new anointing conflicts with their old spirits, resulting in the destruction of both. This occurs because people prefer their old sinful ways, deeming them not only more appealing but also convenient to maintain without causing harm to their old spirits.
People often prioritize precedence before receiving a fresh anointing in their lives. However, in seeking the familiar, they may overlook the presence they truly need, leading them to reject the potential of the fresh anointing. This pattern sustains traditions, often overshadowing innovation and newness. Despite the absence of new strategies, the devil continues to rely on old tricks. Instead of embracing the new and unprecedented blessings bestowed by their heavenly Father, individuals tend to lean towards the customary snares of the devil.
In this process, God does not seek to bring about our destruction through the imposition of His new grace. Instead, He provides us with abundant opportunities to rejuvenate our spirits. As a result, it may seem to us that the time it takes to receive the blessings of God is prolonged.
Instant Relief
Healing and deliverance meetings are conducted on a large scale, with the focus on identifying individuals who have experienced healing or deliverance. A substantial number of volunteers are deployed to bring the healed individuals to the stage to share their testimonies. However, it is evident that many others who have been healed choose not to come forward. Instead, they opt to express their gratitude in their respective places of worship, as they had vowed to do when they received healing. This situation causes distress to the servants of God, who argue that the healing is attributed to our living God, yet the recognition is directed elsewhere.
Upon reflection, it is evident that the notion of instant healing or blessings being from God holds no weight. In truth, these instant healings are attributed to the devil, aimed at deterring people from seeking the truth. A closer examination reveals that the frequency of healings far surpasses that of deliverance. In cases where individuals are purportedly delivered, they soon find themselves in the same predicament the following day, as the evil spirit retains its grasp on them.
But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”
Matthew 12:24-26 (NIV)
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
The Devil And Its Sign
And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
Revelation 13:13-14 (NIV)
People are eagerly anticipating these events and praying for God’s protection from the deceit of the devil. Here, the devil incites fear among the people by claiming to have survived its wounds. However, Jesus, through His sacrifice on the cross, has already defeated the devil. Despite the careful vigilance of the people, they have fallen prey to the devil’s deception in Spiritual Carnivals, failing to discern it in the light of God’s teachings. This has occurred because people are drawn to signs and wonders rather than the truth found in God’s word.
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 (NIV)
Ultimately, many disregard the man who survived death and was tempted by the devil despite surviving the wounds caused by the cross. The sacrifice of our Father God is often not esteemed as highly as our achievements in this world. We proudly discuss our earthly accomplishments year after year, yet we overlook the triumph of our Lord Jesus, who defeated death and now sits at the right hand of His Father with an unmatched title – the LORD. Have we ever pondered how Jesus achieved this for our well-being? Do we ever raise this as a topic of discussion?
We often find ourselves trapped within our own problems, unable to seek solutions through the teachings of Jesus. Instead, we tend to magnify our insignificant issues and subject ourselves to unnecessary suffering. It is only when we reflect on the suffering and sacrifice endured by Jesus on our behalf that our problems will dissipate, and our shame will be transformed into honour and glory.
The Creator Does Not Violate The Norms
In various mythologies, there are accounts of deities appearing suddenly, leading people to construct temples in the locations of their appearances. It is logical to attribute these events to the work of the devil and his instantaneous miracles because the Creator of the universe sticks to His pattern and never violates it. According to this perspective, the regulations set by the Creator of the universe dictate the paths, cycles, and periods followed by celestial bodies, which are not to be violated.
When God planned His redemptive action well before the creation of the earth, He did not deviate from His usual methods. He adhered to His creation norms, selecting a womb and giving His Son a body according to His established standards. Mary carried the Son of God in her womb for nine months. When God blesses a childless couple, it does not happen instantly but follows the system (the gestation period) that God has already put in place. Anything that violates the original plan and system of God and His creation cannot be from God.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll — I have come to do your will, my God.’”
Hebrews 10:5-7 (NIV)
To demonstrate the legitimacy of our Redeemer’s existence, the scripture has meticulously documented the period and lineage that has persisted through our ancestors since the beginning.
Renewal of Our Spirits
Believers often grapple with enduring hardships, suffering, and illness, prompting numerous questions. In the midst of God’s omnipresence and His meticulous design, it is incumbent upon us to persist in seeking His teachings. Through this pursuit, our spirits can be rejuvenated, enabling us to embrace a new grace and a fresh anointing.
People often raise questions about God’s delay in orchestrating His Son’s second coming. However, it is not His fault, as He is flawless. He patiently waits, desiring that none should perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). This time is given to us to align ourselves with His teachings and to become vessels for His Spirit.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 (NIV)
Meanwhile, the devil attempts to divert us from our faith, branding us as sinners deserving of condemnation. The devil tests his theory by leading us astray through our trials such as poverty, and illness, attempting to drag us down to hell with him. However, these hardships are not the true obstacles on the path to His Kingdom.
We can bring everything with us to His Kingdom only if we do not let these things hinder us from accepting the forgiveness granted to us on the cross. Sin is the only thing that has the power to prevent us from receiving eternal life. Instead of seeking miracles in our lives, we should remember that God has already miraculously forgiven our sins and made us His children. Refusing this truth by attributing the minor troubles of this world may postpone our blessings and even our entry into His Kingdom.
Understanding the reason for the delay, as we entrust our lives into the hands of our Redeemer, even as our physical bodies endure the perils and sicknesses of this world, our inner spirits will be revitalized to gain passage into His Kingdom. To expedite this process, it is imperative to have faith in what God has accomplished for us, to believe in His forgiveness of our sins, and to strive to lead a life worthy of such invaluable forgiveness. If we become slaves to the one who redeemed us giving His Son as a ransom for many, it is not going to take long.
You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
Romans 6:18 (NIV)
