Fret not thyself because of evil-doers

Main Reading: Psalm 73.

It is obvious that evil doers are flourishing day by day in this world.  On this, we may have hundreds of questions in our mind.  We can see this elaborately in Psalm 73.  It is quite common to compare the increase of wealth of evil doers with righteous people.  Many confront or console   themselves by saying that `evil doer’s wealth may increase.  But they will not have peace of mind’  This kind of statement itself is an evident of provocation. When a God fearing student in the examination hall finding all other students copying from the Text Book itself, what will be the mental trauma the student may go through.  While a qualified person is not getting the job as many others are  getting in through influence what he or she may think of the prospect.   Even in many places Bible speaks about this. Ps 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.Prov 24:1 Be not thou envious against evil men; Neither desire to be with them: Prov 24:19 Fret not thyself because of evil-doers; Neither be thou envious at the wicked:

It is a subject we  lament over  and question God for justice.    Even God knew human nature.  God  says  in Mal 2:17 Ye have wearied Jehovah with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? In that ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of Jehovah, and he delighteth in them; or where is the God of justice?

Prov 23:17 gives us a remedy for this.   `  Let not thy heart envy sinners; But (be thou) in the fear of Jehovah all the day long:’  It says, instead of wasting our time and emotions on their increase rely on God and fear Him.

When Psalmist  Says that let not our heart envy sinners; it may be difficult for us to practice it.  But if we know the real essence of this saying, we will love to practice it and rather rejoice in it.

When we go through difficult situations, the following verse gives us immense strength. . 1 John 4:4  Ye are of God, (my) little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.  But what is the concept in our mind about this verse.  Many think that the evil in this world is beyond God’s territory;  but God took victory over them on the Cross.  So God  is the Greater one and He is within us.  This may be the understanding  many people.

Many people think that evil is something anonym to God. ( Evil is anonym to Good. )  In other words, many took evil as a power confronting God.   That is why when they use the word 1 Jn 4:4 they too  become so vehement.

We should have a very clear understanding that our God is the Creator.  Other than God nothing is created.  Satan is a lier.  Satan can    the already created things from human and he can not create anything.    He had snatched the dominion-ship from human.  But creator of everything is God and God only. It is written in Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made Jehovah God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Isa 45:6-7 says I am Jehovah, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.  The creator has the authority over His creations.  We see Satan asking permission from God to test Job.   Without His permission nothing can move an inch.  Now according to Jn. 1 4: 4  the creator is greater than the one in this world.

Then we may think that why God has created evil?  This   is a most frequently asked question.  The Bible tells us that God created evil for the day of evil.    Prov 16:4 Jehovah hath made everything for its own end; Yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.  God has created Good and evil.  And HE gave us the `Free Will’ to choose either of this.  When a person opt one among this, He says (Rev 22:11 ) `He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still.’

Dear Beloved in Christ, it is our choice to choose either Good or evil.  If we choose Good, we will become the partakers of his Heavenly Regime.  If not, we will be in the company of Satan.  It is not that if we do not involve ourselves in one of these areas, things are not going to happen the way it should be.  It will go on and on.   If Judas would not have  betrayed Jesus, Jesus  would have walked towards the Cross on His own.  It was His Master’s Plan. Jesus has to obey.  Nothing can stop that.   If I am not  writing this God may use somebody else to reveal His mind.  Now voluntarily, by His grace, I am becoming a partaker.  If we decide to be on His side, it is always a blessing.

Now let us see how God is using this wicked in this world.  In Deut 7:22 God says, ` And Jehovah thy God will cast out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee’.  Here, one can understand that vividly, that God has some purpose on this wicked people.  They were appointed to control the increase of wild animals.  God made them so busy  with the wild animals, the righteous are leading peaceful life.  You may not get an immediate answer for your prayer.  But God says, little by little I`ll make you alright, because, I have a purpose in it.  God says if you destroy them,  wild beasts will increase.  From this one can clearly understand that God is using the enemies to control the growth of wild animals so that wild animals could not enter in.  When God is giving this much protection, the people have the only business – that is  to worship Him.  Dear friends, in our personal life people whom we don`t appreciate may be still lingering around us.  Please do understand God is having a purpose.

Prov 21:18  The wicked is a ransom for the righteous; And the treacherous (cometh) in the stead of the upright. (Illustration: 2 Chron 20:23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another)

Prov 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children; And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.

Prov 28:8 He that augmenteth his substance by interest and increase, Gathereth it for him that hath pity on the poor.

Psalmist says, (Ps 73:17-18)  Until I went into the sanctuary of God, and considered their latter end. Surely thou settest them in slippery places: Thou castest them down to destruction.

Joseph’s great testimony is this. Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. KJV

Therefore, let us not wearied, but rejoice. Hallelujah! I believe, now you will love to practice Ps 37:1 in your life.  God is taking care of all the areas of our life.  The only business we have got to do  is to worship Him all the time.   Amen.Fret
